A 1905 heritage home within easy walking distance of beaches, parks and Kelowna's downtown with its many restaurants. An award winning restoration has resulted in a beautiful home with comfortable accommodations.
In 1913, this house was purchased by an organization from England called the "British Women's Emigration Association". They named it The Joyce Hostel and operated the house as a residence for the "Educated Women Workers" who came out to Canada seeking employment. In reality, many of these young women also came seeking husbands and so the house was locally known as the Bride's Hotel.
During the 1920's, the organization operated the property as a boarding house "suitable for business men and visitors". We have chosen to keep alive this tradition by naming our B&B The Joyce House and have identified each of our rooms by the name of an immigrant lady from our own family.
